Who wouldn't like an extra 24 hours once in four years? That's what the 29th of Feb is, a bonus day.

February may be ending, but it is still in the limelight. Valentine’s Day is behind us, but today is Leap year’s day or Leap day!

My son’s crèche is celebrating the day with a funny hat competition; and most women will heed customary practices by taking the bull by its horns and proposing marriage to their mates - since today is the day that women "can" do so without being frowned upon. Hmmm, we still have a loooong way to go, don’t we? But it’s a good thing they don’t see us wearing the pants all the other years.

Ironically though, most couples won’t dream of getting married in a leap year ----
